Security Solutions at Quiron Salud Hospital

The Quirón Salud Madrid University Hospital is a benchmark for health in the Community of Madrid. Ipsum Seguridad has installed part of its security solutions for the health sector in the Quirón Hospital, implementing the patient-nurse solution in collaboration with the Spanish manufacturer Alcad, which allows patients to notify and communicate easily with the nursing staff, through of easy-to-use devices. It has also included an access control system through card reading with Inzacard and a Dahua CCTV system. Thanks to these comprehensive solutions, this hospital is positioned as one of the health centres with the highest technology in the community.

Cabilsol and Panquehue Solar Power Plants

Grenergy, a company that designs, develops and builds large-scale renewable energy plants, has chosen Ipsum Seguridad for the installation of the comprehensive security system at the Francisco and Don Eugenio Solar Plants, located in the Cachapoal district, in the Region of O’higgins, Chile.

This security installation is made up of two main systems:

  • Perimeter video surveillance system, based on IP thermal cameras for intrusion detection connected to the existing fibre optic multiservice network in the plant, with discrimination of false alarms.
  • Installation of anti-intrusion elements in transformation centres, offices and
    warehouses.

Video surveillance based on thermal camera technology offers important advantages as a security system compared to traditional CCTV, since it does not need light to work even in adverse environmental conditions (dust, smoke, fog, etc.) and is superior in discrimination of false alarms.

The installation and start-up of the same has been carried out in June of this year.

Installation of Four PMGD Projects in less than 25 Days

Grenergy has once again trusted Ipsum Seguridad, this time for the installation of the comprehensive security system at the Solar Power Plants La Frontera, Chimbarongo, Portezuelo and Chancón, all located in the O’higgins Region, Chile.

At Ipsum we continue to bet on efficient solutions and designs that shorten execution times, as on this occasion, when these 4 projects were carried out in the short period of 25 days, during November and December of this year.

This security installation is made up of two main systems:

  • Perimeter video surveillance system, based on IP thermal cameras for intrusion detection connected to the existing fibre optic multiservice network in the plant, with discrimination of false alarms.

Latest Tunnel Control Technologies in Barcelona

Ipsum Seguridad completed the installation and start-up of a DAI (automatic incident detection) control system for the Jorda – Besós tunnel, which covers a branch of the Dalt ring road in Barcelona.

This is the first of a series of projects on the Barcelona ring road, of which we are pleased to be a part, providing complete solutions equipped with stateof-the-art technology.

The system in question is made up of a series of cameras associated with specific control software as well as a powerful recording system. With this type of means it is possible to detect incidents in tunnels such as stationary vehicles, retentions, possible objects on the road, vehicles traveling in the opposite direction or the presence of pedestrians. There are also mini-dome cameras controlling both the emergency exits and the accesses to the technical rooms and monitoring the SOS posts as well as the mouths of the tunnels.

These facilities are part of the works scheduled to cover most of the Ronda de Dalt, which manages 175,000 vehicles a day at high speed, hence the importance of equipping it with an optimal system for maximum safety in traffic on it. It will be taken as a reference, following the same criteria of equipment and facilities in the others, since it presents considerable advantages to overcome the safety problems suffered by long urban tunnels.

Thanks to the trust that this type of client gives us, such as COMSA, which has more than a century of experience in the infrastructure and industrial engineering sector, we can continue to grow in different areas, in addition to audio-visual.

Perimeter Security System in Aragon

Work on the 100Mw project in Aragón is advancing at a good pace; 49, 98 Mwp Word and 49, 98 Mwp Esplendor, in which we are executing the Perimeter Security System.

These projects are part of the Cobra Escatrón Project. This large energy facility will be the largest of its kind to be commissioned in Europe with a combined capacity of 850 megawatts (MW) and a total surface area of 3,173 hectares between the 18 plants that make up the project.

From an environmental point of view, the projected installations will avoid the emission into the atmosphere of, if this energy were produced with thermal power plants, more than 1,000,000 tons of CO2 from coal or 446,600 tons if it were produced with gas thermal power plants. natural.

It is an honour for us to be part of projects of such magnitude.

New Security Project in Photovoltaic Plants by Ipsum Seguridad

From Ipsum Seguridad we are pleased to announce the new award of a CCTV and Intrusion Systems project in two solar plants, both in the province of Badajoz.

Thanks to technological advances, the cost of photovoltaic solar energy has been reduced and, at the same time, its efficiency has increased and its average cost of electricity generation has become competitive with conventional energy sources.

The photovoltaic plants located in Burguillos del Cerro and Fuentes del Maestre will have a total power of 100 MW, will occupy an area of more than 50 hectares and will have a total of 71,640 photovoltaic panels.

This contribution of renewable electricity to the network will be equivalent to the electricity consumption of some 37,000 homes in Badajoz, just over 20 percent of the existing homes in the province.

Security Solutions for Photovoltaic Plants in Murcia

Ipsum Seguridad has been selected as the provider of the Security System for a photovoltaic solar plant located in the area of Lo Cortao de Las Torres de Cotillas, Murcia. The installation is going to be carried out on land that covers nearly 75,000 square meters in its entirety. Once all phases of the installation are completed, the project will deliver 7 GWh.

Currently, Murcia is the number one community in the country in installed solar power per square kilometre.

New perimeter security installation in Zaragoza

At Ipsum Seguridad we have been in charge of Perimeter Security, this time for the 12.3 MWp “El Marqués” photovoltaic plant in Zaragoza.

The construction that is located in the Empresarium estate is carried out under the EPC contract or “turnkey” modality. This photovoltaic plant is the first investment in Spain by the German fund Green City Energy, which currently has another 145 MW under development in Spain.

“El Marqués” photovoltaic plant has more than 30,000 state-of-the-art solar panels, which will be installed on single-axis trackers. This modality allows the solar path to be followed throughout the day, which leads to an optimization of the plant’s electrical production.

With this project, an electricity generation of close to 22,800 MWh per year will be achieved. This figure practically represents the consumption of more than 6,500 homes, in addition to a reduction in CO2 emissions into the atmosphere of more than 5,600 tons per year.
