Francisco and Don Eugenio Solar Plants

Grenergy, a company that designs, develops and builds large-scale renewable energy plants, has chosen Ipsum Seguridad for the installation of the comprehensive security system at the Francisco and Don Eugenio Solar Plants, located in the Cachapoal district, in the Region of O'higgins, Chile

This security installation is made up of two main systems:

• Perimeter video surveillance system, based on IP thermal cameras for intrusion detection connected to the existing fibre optic multiservice network in the plant, with discrimination of false alarms.
• Installation of anti-intrusion elements in transformation centres, offices and warehouses.

Video surveillance based on thermal camera technology offers important advantages as a security system compared to traditional CCTV, since it does not need light to work even in adverse environmental conditions (dust, smoke, fog, etc.) and is superior in discrimination of false alarms.

The installation and start-up of the same has been carried out in October of this year.
